Rose Marie Weasley

Rose Marie Weasley is the daughter of Ron and Hermione. She has a younger brother called Hugo. She didn't inherited her dads red hair but got mums intelligence. Ron tells her to beat Draco Malfoy's son Scorpius in every test they take.

Clever, generally friendly, and sometimes “know-it-all” are often words used to describe Rose’s personality by the people who know her well. She enjoys life, and isn’t afraid to show it. Rose is charming, and has exceptional diplomatic aplomb, and a way with words. She has a light-hearted, and often sarcastic sense of humor, making her both enjoyable and easy to be around, unless of course you give her a reason not to be. She enjoys people who can use their wit to make things funny, rather than silly antics or displays of vulgarity. Rose is a true optimist, and tries to see and point out the good in other people. She has a naturally tender heart, which, along with her conscience, and a healthy, supportive upbringing has shaped her into being a generally kind, compassionate, and generous person. Rose also prides herself on being a worthy, reliable friend and knows how to keep a secret.

Naturally bright, Rose took to school like a fish to water, and had no trouble becoming one of the top students in her year. She has a very rational, logical mind and excelled in classes that played to her strengths as well as allowing her to express a bit of her untapped creativity. Potions was a perfect fit, and Rose proved to have a natural and almost intuitive grasp of the subject. Whenever she gets near a cauldron, Rose feels as though she’s back in her grandmother’s kitchen, but with a lot more control over the outcome. Naturally, her best skills are those that only require a wand and minimal physical movement, so she’s ace at Charms, and especially Transfiguration. The old saying “the apple doesn’t far fall from the tree” certainly holds true for Rose. She, like her mother before her, prides herself on her knowledge and skill in every subject. Unlike Hermione, however, Rose’s tenacity for academics don’t totally stem from an underlying insecurity…she was simply brought up to know she was intelligent and takes full advantage of it. Her mother always pressed her to do her best at everything, and her father loves to watch her win at anything. Despite her parents’ support, Rose has always felt the need to prove herself. While pretty in her own way, she’s never been the most sought-after girl at school, nor the most popular. So, she’s carved out a comfortable place for herself in the classrooms of Hogwarts, where few can touch her. Rose has also always been fascinated by her Wizarding family history, and has made it a personal hobby to learn as much as she can about the Weasley side of her family tree.

Rose is an idealist at heart, and believes that people are inherently good, even though she will readily admit that there are a lot of people who aren’t. She believes that people who betray their natures are products of their environment and can’t help themselves, though she, like everyone else, can have a hard time seeing past people’s faults sometimes. Despite this belief, Rose is cautious about prejudging people, and never likes to assume anything about a person until they have proved otherwise. She is also a firm believer in the old adage ‘action speaks louder than words.’ Rose thinks that what you actually do matters more than what you say you’re going to do.

Rose has a definite competitive streak. She enjoys winning at anything just because she enjoys a healthy competition, though, doesn’t mean she’s not a sore loser. She has a tendency to hold a grudge over losing something for a short while, but can, on occasion, eventually swallow her pride enough to admit defeat and congratulate her victorious competitor. On the other hand, Rose can also be a sore winner and gloat smugly over victories.

Not typically confrontational, Rose will avoid a fight if she can, but if the situation calls for it, you’d better believe it’s ‘no holds barred’, especially if it involves any member of her family or anyone she likes at all, for that matter. Though she didn’t inherit the trademark Weasley hair, Rose is no exception to the ‘Weasley bad temper’ standard, especially when it comes down to a question of loyalty. When provoked, she’s been known to draw her wand before stopping to think, one of the traits that almost landed her in Gryffindor and makes her stand out in a house of level-headed bookish people. Her icy glares and silent treatments afterward have occasionally been known to cause more damage than a good shouting match, though. To go along with that, she can be quite stubborn about things, and unless she’s given a good reason not to, can hold out for quite a while if she sees fit to, a trait she undoubtedly inherited from her father.

Rose is an emotionally expressive person. She is passionate, and puts all of her effort into anything she does, feeling unsatisfied if she does anything less. Despite having a good head on her shoulders, Rose often makes decisions based on how she feels about something, whether good or bad. When she’s thinking clearly, however, and attempting to separate facts from feelings, she weighs all options for making any decisions, not wanting to enter into anything lightly. This can sometimes cause her to be indecisive about things, and frustrates her. Things are either black or white with Rose. She has a tendency to fall into the train of thought that everything is either fantastic in her world, or it’s all wrong. She’s prone to experiencing intense, stormy emotions, but does make an attempt to keep her temper in check. Easily provoked, Rose has to remind herself to stay calm and rationalize situations before flying off the handle. Sometimes it works, and other times it doesn’t. Her capacity for love is great, and Rose expects her love to be reciprocated with the same ardor. She can be overly sensitive at times, and despite her strong front, is easily hurt.
